Thank You to Our 2018 Volunteers!
As we reflect on 2018, our hearts are full thinking about the many benevolent volunteers that lent a helping hand here at Cheshire Home! We were fortunate to work with many different groups, some returning and some new, throughout the year.
We would like to give a special ‘thank you’ to:
YMCA Togetherhood volunteers who hosted our annual Super Bowl party! We’re BIG football fans at Cheshire Home, and the party this group threw was the best way to finish out the season!
Madison High School’s Girls Basketball Team who visited Cheshire Home twice. In the winter they rolled up their sleeves and helped us paint and clean. They returned in the summer to add color to our entrance by planting beautiful flowers.
Novartis who helped us get ready for the warm weather by officially opening our terrace and prepare our garden for planting!
Our new friends at Nielsen who went above and beyond in their volunteerism. They spent their 7th Annual Nielsen Global Impact Day volunteering at Cheshire Home, helping spruce up our terrace for the summer. The group at Nielsen also offered their professional services. They worked with us as we created a brochure and we were even visited by a professional photographer from their team for some updated pictures!
Holiday Express who helped us kick off the holiday season with a rockin’ Christmas party! This group makes sure everything is taken care of including food, live music, Christmas characters, and a microphone ready for all of us to belt out our favorite holiday tunes!
Knights of Columbus who spent time at Cheshire Home and hosted a pizza party!
Our friend, Ned, who very generously hosts a holiday cheese and sparkling cider party each year!
CYO who will be hosting a holiday party as Christmas draws closer! We always love welcoming groups in at this time of year, as the holiday spirit adds a bit of magic to Cheshire Home!
Our friend, Angela, who visits daily and enjoys games with our residents.
Breda, Lisa & Tom who visit several times a week to help us calm and center ourselves with yoga!
Our friend, Sandra Black, who visits our residents and spends time with them playing games and having fun!
Michael Hoberman who helped us during our "trek to the track", to watch horse racing at Monmouth Park. It was a beautiful day and we're so glad Michael was able to spend it with us!
Rich, Judi, & Carmel who brings our favorite furry friends, Mona, Foxy, & Moses, for pet therapy!
We sure do appreciate the help that all of our volunteers bring to Cheshire Home!
