Semi-Independent Living At Cheshire II and Cheshire III
In 1986 Cheshire opened the first of two small community-based homes, Cheshire II, in Parsippany, for six tenants (right). Cheshire III in Florham Park opened in 2003, housing eight tenants. Our community homes were established in order to provide a comfortable, fully accessible residence for young, physically disabled men and women who do not require 24- hour nursing care.
These homes offer the privacy of individual rooms as well as spacious communal living, kitchen, and dining areas. The men and women who reside in Cheshire II and Cheshire III are responsible for their own meals, care and personal needs.
Both homes offer onsite features including a laundry amenity and full kitchen appliances in addition to outdoor patios for individual or group enjoyment. Landscaping and snow removal are provided by Cheshire Home. A separate wing is dedicated to our tenants' rooms in order to ensure privacy, and a house manager lives onsite. In order to facilitate socialization and address emergencies.
Cheshire II and Cheshire III reflect our commitment to providing a quality living environment for adults with disabilities.
