Onsite activities as well as organized trips are geared toward the interests of our young population. When we're out and about on trips, we transport our residents to sites throughout New Jersey, including state parks and fairs, professional sports stadiums, Turtleback Zoo, Sands Casino, Point Pleasant, Liberty State Park, and "Around Town" spots where our residents might take in a movie, go bowling, or enjoy a picnic or barbecue.
When the bus pulls back into our parking lot...
...there's always something cooking at home, starting off with special dinners or Pot Luck Hours, chip n' dip get-togethers, holiday festivities, and monthly birthday parties!
Most days groups of residents can be found gathered around tables in our dining or living room, participating in afternoon and evening games and activities. The games of the day could offer blackjack or poker, digital or board games such as Wii, Scene It, Scrabble, Chess, or craft projects. Recently residents participated in a cooking class at King's, and planted a raised garden as part of a horticultural project at Cheshire.
And, since it's that time of year, our sports fans come together to root for their favorite football teams each week. We certainly have a diverse fan base who enjoy a little friendly competition!
It's our pleasure to welcome friends, and we especially enjoy community performers that entertain us, and the hugs our therapy dogs bring to us.
