Madison Girl’s Basketball Volunteer Day at Cheshire Home was a Slam Dunk!
On President’s Day, February 19, 2018, the Madison High School Girl’s Basketball team, along with Coach Steve Hughes and Coach Mark DoVico, spent their day off from school volunteering at Cheshire Home. The girls arrived with their sleeves rolled up and ready to work!
What did the girls do while they were here? What didn’t they do is the real question! The team spent the day polishing, cleaning, painting, organizing and assisting throughout Cheshire Home. The time they spent with us greatly helped many departments including Dietary, Development, Recreation and Maintenance.
Some of our volunteers assisted Luz, a Cheshire Home resident, organize her Hello Kitty collection throughout her room. Luz' elaborately decorated room is well-known through Cheshire Home and she's appreciative of the help she received to keep her ever-growing collection in order!
For ten years, Madison High School’s basketball program has provided many hours of help and dedication to Cheshire Home! We greatly appreciate their continued support and wish them the best in this year’s basketball season!
