Cheshire Home Holds Virtual “Cheshire Has Talent” Fundraiser
On October 29 and October 30, Cheshire Home and Marquee Event Sponsor EMS presented their first “Cheshire Has Talent” fundraiser. Residents and staff pre-recorded their talents and included their inspirational stories of how they’ve developed them over the years. Viewers tuned in and enjoyed the show, then donated to vote for their favorite contestant.
“Cheshire Has Talent” featured singers, artists, designers and more! Along with their talents, residents shared their personal stories of their flourishing gifts. It was difficult to pick just one contestant as their favorite- all contestants are masters of their craft. The talents were all so impressive, many voters stated, “I wish I could vote for them all!” The turn-out for the virtual event was extremely successful, with over 300 views of the show.
Resident and artist Luz DeJesus took first place of “Cheshire Has Talent” with graphic designer David Hatchard in second place and artist Jenna Hansen in third place. Congratulations to all contestants who displayed their talents! While voting is now over, Cheshire Home invites the community to get to know their residents and staff by viewing “Cheshire Has Talent” on their YouTube channel at https://bit.ly/3naCVJV.
"Cheshire Has Talent" raised $12,000 and will benefit the services offered to Cheshire Home’s residents as they rehabilitate from paralyzing spinal cord injuries, and reach their highest level of self-sufficiency.
