Cheshire Home opened two small community based homes, one in Parsippany and the other in Florham Park. Tenants in these facilities do not require 24-hour nursing care and are more independent than the residents at Cheshire Home. Those who live in our community based homes are responsible for their own meals, care and personal needs. A house manager helps with chores such as snow removal, lawn mowing and minor home repairs.
The home in Parsippany houses six tenants, the home in Florham Park houses eight tenants.
The addition of the 14 private rooms have enabled Cheshire Home to provide a service to the community where qualified people can lead the least restricted lives possible, based on their age and physical disabilities.
