Cheshire Home is a licensed special-care nursing facility for young, physically disabled adults with spinal cord injuries or neurological impairments, including cerebral palsy and spina bifida. Our programs and services are geared toward promoting maximum self-sufficiency, and individuals are selected for admission based on their potential to benefit from our programs.

We offer mentally alert, physically disabled adults support services inclusive of skilled nursing and physical therapy, educational programming, and recreational opportunities that foster independence. Our professional, experienced staff develops individualized care plans for each resident, and our programs assist eligible candidates in transitioning to more independent living. Cheshire Home participates in Medicaid, Medicare, third party insurance programs and self pay.

Cheshire II and Cheshire III are small, community-based homes established for disabled individuals who are able to live more independently. (Please see the “Community Homes” page of this website.)
